The gold line
The Gold Line is a significant new gold field in Västerbotten
Section Title
The gold line
Lappland Guldprospektering AB conducts exploration and evaluation of the gold potential on the "Gold Line" in Västerbotten. The "Gold Line" comprises a series of gold deposits, mineralizations and outcrops in different geological situations along a regional tectonic zone from northwestern Västerbotten through the municipalities of Sorsele, Storuman, Lycksele and on towards the Bothnian Sea in the southeast.
The zone may represent an older rift zone whose age is close to 2 billion years. The gold mineralization occurs mainly with arsenopyrite and magnetite. Based on classical block exploration and subsequent geophysical and geochemical surveys, a number of gold mineralizations have been found, e.g. Svartliden, Ersmarksberget, Fäboliden, Klippen, Knaften, Stortjärnhobben, Gubbträsk, Sandviksträsk, Barsele and Svergoträsk.
In addition to these known gold deposits and mineralizations, there are a number of exploration prospects, which with continued exploration may give rise to new interesting deposits. There is thus evidence that a new significant gold field has been discovered in Västerbotten alongside the traditional Skellefte field.
Lappland Guldprospektering is a company with a clear belief in the potential of the "Gold Line" and sees good opportunities to locate new gold deposits in the area.
Through exploration and acquisition of interesting deposits from other companies, the company currently has some of these gold deposits in its project portfolio. Gold mineralization has been found in Stortjärnhobben, Gilleberget and in Svergoträsk. The company owns permits with a number of interesting prospects, which with continued exploration may result in new valuable deposits.
