Lappland Guldprospektering
Lappland Guldprospektering AB is a gold exploration company founded in 1994. The company's founders, prospectors Torbjörn Grahn, Eric Sjölund, Jan-Åke Unee and geologist Göran Pettersson, are behind almost all of the gold deposits discovered in Lappland over the past 30 years. These include the Svartliden mine operated by Dragon Mining, Fäboliden, today owned by Dragon Mining, formerly owned by Lappland Goldminers, Bothnia's Fäbodtjärn and Lappland Guldprospektering Stortjärnhobben deposit.
Jan-Åke Unee and Torbjörn Grahn are still active in the company, but Eric Sjölund has unfortunately passed away.
Torbjörn Grahn and the geologist Göran Pettersson have in recent years conducted activities in the company Svensk Malmprospektering together with the prospector Ingemar Åslund. That company is today a wholly owned subsidiary of Lappland Guldprospektering AB. Svensk Malmprospektering has 6 exploration permits for gold, several of which are completely new discoveries.

Our main find
Lappland Guldprospektering main deposit is Stortjärnhobben, where it holds a processing concession. A processing concession means that Bergstaten, which is a department within the government agency SGU (Statens Geologiska Undersökningar), has reviewed the project and found that there are conditions for profitable mining. An exploitation concession means that the right to mining is decided in relation to the Sami's right to reindeer grazing. An initial environmental impact assessment has been carried out in connection with the application for a mining concession.
The ore in Stortjärnhobben has been tested in Svartliden's concentrator and it works well to extract it there. Enrichment tests on drill cores show that high yields can be achieved. The distance there is between 5 and 7 miles depending on the choice of route.
Lappland Guldprospektering aims to start mining operations in Stortjärnhobben and to explore for new mines in Sweden. The conditions for this are very good in Sweden and the Gold Line in particular is considered to be under-explored in relation to the very good geological conditions that exist there. The company's exploration permits are mainly located on the Gold Line.
